Abstract
A method is developed for the computer-aided design of switched attenuators with high precision. The attenuators are used in such instruments as, e.g., noise figure meter sets where calibrated attenuations with an error ±0.01 dB are required. The method allows us to design these precise attenuators. The method is applied to the example case design of two attenuators with 6 dB switched attenuation at 20 MHz
