Abstract
The accepted surface-integral method of force and torque calculation for an arbitrary immersed body is extended to include for non-linearity of the immersing liquid. The surface traction to be used is independent of choice of stress system, and is characterized by the principal stresses being energy density and the negative of co-energy density. The surface of integration may be arbitrarily chosen.
