Abstract
The general case of magnetostatic volume waves propagating within an obliquely magnetised dielectric layered structure is considered. It is shown that the structure permits the propagation of non-reciprocal volume waves and that regions of nondispersive group delay also exist. A transition region between the volume and surface modes of propagation is also shown to exist. Because the internal and applied magnetic fields are not collinear, the analysis will be extended to a practical situation where agreement with experiment is found to be good.
