Abstract :
The effective canting angle of distorted raindrops along an earth-space propagation path has been obtained from a one-year phase amplitude measurement of two orthogonal components of satellite signals. It is shown that the distribution of canting angles is centred around the horizontal orientation, with the standard deviation of about 11°.
