Abstract :
We have measured the critical current density Jcof four different commercial compositions of NbTi over the range of fields up to Hc2and at reduced temperatures. We have presented the results in scaled form so that attainable values of Jcin NbTi at arbitrary fields and temperatures may easily be derived. We have also measured the effect of post manufacture thermal treatments on Jcand shown that the change in Jcscales with a temperature compensated time factor.
