Abstract
Two kinds of unichiral bubbles, χ+ and χ-, in an ion-implanted film were found to have different bubble collapse time and that the one converts to the other under a bias pulse. The controlled generation and collapse discrimination of these two bubbles were tried by applying a single bias pulse. We found a bias field margin of 7.1 Oe for discrimination. The dynamic behaviors of these bubbles are clearly related to the nucleation and punchthrough of a horizontal Bloch line and the suppression of punchthrough of the Bloch line by the ion-implanted layer.
