Abstract :
User capacities for direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple-access communication systems are obtained, for the situation where a receiver has to synchronise to its wanted signal in the presence of other users´ transmissions, under all relative phase conditions. The use of both conventional and rapid-acquisition codes is considered.
