Abstract :
The first successful operation of a vacuum tube photodetector with an amorphous selenium photoconductor and a diamond cold cathode in triode-structure is presented. By using triode-structure, the detector can achieve a wide dynamic range of observable illumination intensity and faster photo-response compared to diode-structure.
