            Abstract : 
Simple closed-form approximations for level crossing rate and average fade duration in an M-branch Nakagami-m (1960) equal gain combining scheme are presented. The proposed closed-form formulas yield results that are almost indistinguishable from the exact solution to which intricate expressions involving M-fold integration are required.
