Abstract :
A simple analytic method is suggested for calculating radiation fields from traveling current waves propagating along curvilinear wires. The solutions obtained are valid in both the near and the far zones. The results are used to calculate the radiation of linear and V-antennas, as well as those composed of rectilinear segments. The radiation of a wire placed over a conducting plane is calculated when the wire is an element of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) simulator. An engineering method of EMP simulator design is put forward and justified
