Abstract :
Certain researchers synthesize linear time-variant (LTV) filters by assuming a frozen-time relationship between the transfer function and the difference equation. In this letter, the misconception in this synthesis scheme is examined and the comparison between the frozen-time transfer function and the generalized transfer function is also illustrated.
