Abstract :
This note proposes further simplification for the architecture given in a paper by Murthy and Swamy (see ibid., vol.40, no.5, p.1241, 1992). The Boolean expression in the m-array algorithm is simplified such that the number of AND operators is significantly reduced for the 8-bit order statistic filter
