  • Abstract
    A new method for analysing groove guides with grooves of arbitrary cross-section is presented. This method is based on the combination of a transverse resonance method and a numerical integral. Numerical calculations for V-groove guides verified the validity of this approach. Theoretical results for cutoff wavelengths of groove guides with circular and trapezoid-grooves are also presented.
