Abstract :
A simple RLC model of the Josephson junction has been analysed in the phase plane. The results show phase-plane trajectories leading either to a stable point (superconductive state) or to oscillations (normal state) or to both. The behaviour of the Josephson junction may be predicted from the design parameter ¿ and external circuit parameter ¿.
