Abstract :
Mn-Zn-Co ferrite single crystals with Fe-deficient initial composition, for VTR heads, have been grown by the Bridgman technique under about 1.5 atm. oxygen pressure. From the X-ray diffraction patterns obtained, only spinel phase is observed. The results of chemical analysis show that the distribution of component cations within the crystal is inhomogeneous. The crystal possesses permeability of 1300, 700 and 400 at 5 MHz,10 MHz and 15 MHz respectively and high resistance.
