Abstract :
The design and performance of a tunable single-frequency diode laser pumped Nd:YAG microchip at 1.3 mu m wavelength is described. This oscillator provided linearly polarised continuous-wave output with a continuously tunable difference frequency of over 58 GHz. This is an ideal swept frequency source at 1.3 mu m for the testing of the frequency response of photodiode and other optical components.
