A simple modification of Broom´s transformation for linear-phase FIR filters

A modification in the low-pass to bandpass transformation formulated by Broom [1] has been proposed; this is shown to transform a linear-phase low-pass FIR filter to a bandpass filter with approximately linear-phase characteristic and with a constant phase shift θ, where θ can be chosen as desired. When θ is chosen to be zero or π/2, the transformed bandpass filter becomes strictly linear phase.
