Abstract :
Some long lasting vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) are reported. The 2700h of operation indicates approximately 5%/10kh degradation rate predicting mean time to failure of approximately 105h. These are the longest lasting VCSELs reported to date.
