Abstract :
The paper addresses the design of observers for systems with time delay. A factorisation approach is used to parameterise all observers for such systems. The necessary and sufficient condition of existence for observers is obtained. Based on the results in the parameterisation of observers, the estimation error dynamics is also parametrised. A design example is given to illustrate the proposed parameterisation procedure
