As the author went though his file of old Newsletters, one of the most interesting items to turn up was a "Special Letter to PGAP Members" dated February 20, 1960. This contained a history of our group and it was prepared by the first Chairman, L.C. Van Atta. This was the third of the IRE Professional Groups to be established and our birthdate was February 1, 1949. Ten years have passed since the first chapter in our history was written; it would be most appropriate for this to be updated. I am, herewith, calling for a volunteer historian.
