Abstract :
The Elmo Bumpy Torus fusion concept has been extrapolated to a 1,200-megawatt electrical power plant [1]. The toroidal magnets required will store more than 2,500 times the energy of those proposed for EBT-P [2]. EBT-reactor (EBT-R) magnets may each store 3.5 gigajoules of energy and weigh approximately 750,000 kg.
