Abstract :
The coupling between two parallel-plate waveguides is calculated using wedge diffraction techniques. The parallel-plate guides have arbitrary truncation angles and are formed by wedges of arbitrary extent. Calculations of coupling are given for both TEM and

waveguide modes with guide separations of 0.4 to 2.4 wavelengths. The results for the half-plane and ground-plane cases have been experimentally verified.
