Abstract :
The 1 MWh superconductive magnetic energy storage is proposed as the demonstration unit for diurual storage of the electric power. The scheme of the superconducting coil is the toroid than the conventional solenoid. The conceptual design of the unit is carried out both at the national laboratory and the industrial company. The rough specification, the estimation of storage efficiency, the cost estimation and the leakage magnetic field are examined.
