Abstract :
Induced uniaxial anisotropy values have been measured by using a torque balance in polycrystalline garnet samples of the general formula Y2.5Pr0.5-xCaxFe5O12with x = 0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1, 0.15. We find, that a uniaxial anisotropy can be induced in two temperature range which is due to a electron migration between Pr3+and Pr4+ions on dodecahedral sites.
