  • Abstract
    The results of magnetomechanical coupling investigations in Al-Co-Fe alloys are presented. The maximum values of magnetomechanical coupling coefficient k ranged from 0.10 to 0.45 depending on the chemical composition and thermal treatment. The maximum magnetomechanical coupling was obtained for magnetic field ranging from 30 to 700 A/m. The optimum annealing temperatures for the maximum values of the magnetomechanical coupling coefficient k vary form 1000 to 1300°C, which is related to atomic ordering of Fe3Al. Small amounts of Co in Al-Fe alloys Improve significantly the magnetomechanical coupling.
