Abstract :
A current vector potential (T) method using the BEM (boundary element method) to solve 3-D eddy current problems is described. The features of the method are that only one kind of variable (T) is needed in the conductor region and that the unknowns are only defined on the conductor surface. The derivation of the basic equations and a new technique that imposes a gage condition are presented. An application to an AC problem is examined with particular attention to the gage condition
