Abstract :
A floppy disk analyzer (FDA) was developed. Using the FDA, the properties of the floppy disk were analyzed. The signal amplitude envelope and the ladderlike curves were tested to evaluate the performance of the floppy disk. The effects of qualities of the cookie and the jacket as well as the rotational state of the media on the performance of the diskette are discussed
