Abstract :
A polarized neutron beam (λ=0.36 nm) was transmitted both perpendicularly and at skew angles through alumite films of various geometries. Three-dimensional depolarization analysis was performed. A model containing the geometry of the needles in the alumite and a parameter K for the excess correlation between their magnetic moments over the reduced magnetization is applied to describe the data. It appears that K becomes more negative as the magnetic interaction between the needles increases
