Abstract :
A low frequency (M,B) loop tracer is described which is intended for use with straight samples of material, particularly amorphous ribbons, which have very low coercivity. The loop tracer allows rapid assessment of ribbon quality and also makes it possible to observe the (M,B) loop with the sample in tension and thus evaluate the magnetostriction.
