Abstract :
The computation of electromagnetic fields is examined. The topics covered include algorithms for integral and differential methods for the solution of three-dimensional magnetostatic fields, comparison of results with experiment, and an investigation into the strengths and weaknesses of both methods for an analytic problem. A brief summary of work in progress on the solution of three-dimensional eddy currents using differential finite elements is given.
