Abstract :
The relay estimator for evaluating the autocorrelation coefficients of a zero-mean stationary Gaussian process is characterised by a very low computational cost. This feature is particularly attractive in radar applications. In the letter its performance, for uncorrelated and correlated pairs of samples, is investigated and compared with that of the conventional estimator.
