Abstract
A low-background anticoincidence beta counting system has been developed by integrating an internal gas proportional counter with CdTe detectors to decrease the volume of the anticoincidence gas counter. Digital signal processing was incorporated according to the characteristics of CdTe detectors and a small-volume, low-background digital anticoincidence beta counting system has been developed for C-14 dating.
