Abstract :
The paper describes a preprocessor for FE field computation which was designed to handle as well as possible the numerous changes due to feedback in design process. Emphasis rests upon the data organisation in a mini data base. This data base contains 3 connected models : the geometrical model, the discretized model and the physical model. All these models contain a lot of symbolic components and a few numerical items. The structure of this preprocessor which rests upon a high graphic interaction and permanent dialogue is then outlined.
