Abstract :
This paper presents a radiated emission model for broadband power-line communications in the frequency range of 1-30 MHz for finite-length wires with a bend. The model is derived based on the full-wave approach (i.e., the electric and magnetic hertz vectors subject to the boundary conditions of the dielectric-conductor and the dielectric-lossy ground plane surfaces). Both the common-mode currents and radiated emissions are obtained. Experiments were made to check the validity and accuracy of our model.
