Abstract :
This column is all about stories, and this one is as exciting as a paperback whodunit. The details are all included, and I hate to spoil it, but there´s a happy ending. The story is about something old--designing and implementing a new system when the old one was really old (two decades!) and something new--using outside research consultants to save the day with a secret sauce. Enjoy!
