  • Abstract
    The use of cross-entropy to analyse the convergence behaviour of a turbo decoder is proposed. Based on the new method, Eb/N0 thresholds are predicted and compared with those predicted by existing techniques. Simulation results show that the new technique is effective and advantageous in practical applications.
