Abstract :
In a Mössbauer study of the system Li0.5-x/2ZnxFe2.5-x/2O4at 4.2K and in fields up to 70 kOe the occurrence of hyperfine field HF distributions az the Fe3+ions located on B sites due to the dependence of the supertransferred HF on the number of Fe3+(A) nearest neighbors could be established. The Mössbauer spectra taken in fields parallel to the gamma-ray direction for x > 0.6 gave evidence for spin canting, the average canting angle increasing with x.
