Abstract :
The `gap problem¿ associated with the King-Middleton second-order theory has been solved by King et al. The empirically determined susceptance values of the knife-edge capacitance as given in Reference 1 were found to be reliable for thin dipoles, but not for thicker ones. The cause of this imperfection is determined and a table of the corrected values included in this letter.
