Abstract :
A method involving the use of computer-aided design to predict accurately the inductance and the divided current among layers of a coreless solenoidal coil with parallel connected multilayers is introduced. The skin and proximity effect of the current-carrying turns can also be evaluated. The adjusted number of turns of each layer is superior to the transposition turns in leading to reasonably divided currents among the layers. The inner layer of the solenoidal coil has a more serious skin effect than the outer layers
