Abstract :
Selection of impregnating materials has been made in order to reduce training of superconducting magnets based on their mechanical and/or thermal properties. Race track shaped coils which are assumed to show marked training, are impregnated with several materials and energized. Epoxy resin filled with alumina powder is found to show superior behavior to those of wax or epoxy resin itself as an impregnating materials.
