Abstract :
In this paper, a linearized small-signal model for a six-pulse HVDC system is presented. In this paper, the effects of on and off states resistances, forward voltage drop, and snubber circuits of the thyristors and filter circuits are taken into account. RL series circuits are used for modeling of the converter transformer and ac system. To validate the model developed in this paper, a comparison is made with the PSCAD/EMTDC time-domain simulation program.
