            Abstract :
A modeling approach for the simulation of a capacitance-discharge magnetizer used for the magnetization of permanent-magnet materials is presented. The modeling approach involves the solution of the coupled voltage excited electric circuit and nonlinear transient magnetic field problem. The approach uses zero-, one-, and two-dimensional finite elements to solve directly for the transient electromagnetic field distribution in a multiturn capacitor-discharge-driven magnetizing fixture
