This is another in an already large group of introductory texts designed to introduce undergraduate business students to computer systems. It parallels the traditional pattern long established for such works: (1) the historical development of today´s systems, (2) business data processing, (3) numbering systems and encoding schemes, (4) an overview of hardware equipment and available software (including operating systems), and variuos applications and interactions of computer systems and business management.
