Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the properties of antennas which are small relative to their operating wavelength. A brief analysis based upon quasi-static principles is presented, and two experimental procedures suggested by the nature of the analytical results are described. The application of these experimental procedures is illustrated with examples of measurements made in connection with the design of low-frequency aircraft antennas.
