Abstract :
A 7 k-pixel×3 line color linear sensor has been developed for color image scanners. The sensor pitch, 8 μm, is the smallest size among devices with a single-sided readout method. A wide blooming margin and dynamic range is achieved. A gain-select function and a shutter function is adopted. This sensor reads A4-size documents at a density of 800 DPI
