Abstract :
A graded mesh is proposed that is useful for the calculation of the coercivity of magnetic materials using finite difference techniques. It is particularly useful when there is a wide dynamic range in the detail that one wishes to investigate and when the phenomena are multipli-periodic. It is now possible to see the variation in wall shape in the vicinity of defects without the prohibitively expensive technique of increasing the number of unknown mesh points or nodes.
