Abstract :
A quasifeedforward linearisation scheme is described suitable for linearisation of optical transmitters using GaAlAs double heterostructure Burrus-type light emitting diodes. Experimentally, an improvement was observed of, respectively, 33 dB and 17 dB in 2nd and 3rd order distortion for a figure of ¿70 dB down on fundamental at 100 mA d.c, 100 mA peak-to-peak modulation currents.
