Abstract
The Curie temperature cross-over phenomena and the internal friction of amorphous Fe32 Ni36 Cr14 P12 B6 alloy were studied under the same annealing conditions. The changes in the internal friction vs temperature curve describe the activation energy spectrum of the internal relaxation centers, and correspond quite well to the expected spectral changes in the magnetic interactions which bring about the cross-over phenomena. It is therefore suggested that the changes in the Curie temperature and internal friction share the same microscopic kinetic mechanism.
