Abstract
Computing the motion of the Hw minimum through a magnetostatic continual model is shown to result in significant phase differences from the real bubble center driven by nonsymmetrical "tapir" elements. Experiments with ferrofluidic technique established the real domain pattern in "tapir" elements where the nature of the domain structure was seen to vary with geometry of element parts. Williams model [1] is also shown to be useful in determining the original domain structure of the element in the absence of an in- -plane field (Hdr = 0). Ways to develop the calculated domain model are discussed.
