  • Abstract
    Studies the formation and analysis of skeletons in binary images. Particular emphasis is placed on the concept of crossing number which is found to be subtly different when testing a point known to be on a skeleton and testing whether a point is on a skeleton: these ideas are applied to the elimination of noise spurs from skeletons.
